We are located at the end of Main Street in Canmore and just minutes from the trails: Map
Where can we park?
We have three parking spots next to the shop to drop off your bike for service or for retail sales. If you are renting for the day head west on 8th street 3 blocks until it turns into Fairholme drive (See Map) where parking is free. If you would like to park closer, there is paid parking in the ArtsPlace parking lot (See Map).
How can I get my bike fixed?
We have a full service department which can repair your bike. Call us at (403)678-3668 and ask for service to book your appointment, or drop off your bike on the weekends if it has a minor problem. Complete tune-ups and major fixes are scheduled during the week (Monday - Friday).
How far is it from Canmore to Banff?
We are about 24km (15mi) from Banff when traveling on the Legacy Trail that runs along HWY-1.
Where are the best places to ride?
With so many options in the Bow Valley it would be difficult to give a blanket answer. Our knowledgeable staff will be able to suggest the best routes for you when you pick up your rental. Check out our favourite rides on this page.
Is wildlife a problem?
In the Bow Valley, you are in bear and elk country! When recreating in bear country, your best strategy to avoid an encounter is to make lots of noise, stay in groups and be alert for signs of bears. In the rare case of an aggressive confrontation, bear spray is your best defense. Learn more at www.wildsmart.ca

Can I bring bear spray on a bike?
We recommend you always carry bear spray when out on the trails. While renting, we offer BearCozy bottle cage adapters if needed (Bear spray not included).
Where do I find bear spray?
Bear spray can be purchased here in-store or online.

Should I wear a helmet?
Yes, helmets are mandatory while renting bicycles at Rebound Cycle for liability reasons. Alberta law states cyclists under the age of 18 must wear an approved bicycle helmet. If you have children and pull them in trail-a-bikes or trailers, they must also wear an approved bicycle helmet.
How much does it cost for bicycle rentals?
Prices from $70 for a full day and include a helmet and lock (if needed).
What kind of bikes do you rent?

How many bike sizes do you offer?
We offer a full range of sizes and can accommodate most people from 4’9” - 6’5” in adult sizes, and we also have a good selection of youth/kids bikes.
Are e-bikes allowed on the trails?
You can ride most trails around the Canmore area, but e-bikes are not allowed at the Nordic Center or on Kananaskis Park trails (Highline/Cloudline). Ask a Rebound staff member for more details or check Parks policy below:

What is the range of your e-bikes?
There are many factors in how far you can go on an E-bike but Bosch has a handy calculator to give you a good estimate: e-bike range calculator
What is the latest time to book bikes?
It is possible to book anytime online, or just walk into the store and we will be happy to help with your rental.
Do I need to pay a deposit to rent a bicycle?
Only our Electronic MTB’s require a fully refundable pre-auth for $1500 at time of pickup.
How can I pay the payment?
You can pay with any major credit card when reserving online, or just walk in to the store anytime.
Can I pick up the bike one day in advance?
Yes, we offer a night before pick up for an extra fee. Just pick up your bike the day before your rental between 4:30pm-4:50pm on Sundays and 5:30pm-5:50pm every other day of the week.
Can I get a refund if the weather changes or I am unable to ride on the day I have reserved?
Our refund policy states you must cancel no later than 24 hours before pick up . All customer requested cancellations and refunds are subject to a 5% processing fee regardless of circumstance.
Can I get a refund if the bicycles are returned early?
Refunds will ONLY be allowed on multi-day rentals on a case by case scenario, and are subject to a 5% processing fee. Full day rentals can not be refunded.
Who is responsible if the bicycle is damaged or stolen?
The renter is responsible for any damage caused during the rental period as stated in the waiver.
Is there insurance for bicycles?
No, at this time we do not offer insurance for rentals.
Is it possible to rent from A and return to B?
No, bicycles and equipment must be returned to the location in which you rented.
Do you provide bicycle transportation to the designated place?
No, unfortunately at this time we do not offer pick up or drop off to hotels or trailheads. 3-Sisters Taxi can safely accommodate bikes and take you to a trailhead if needed. You can inquire about rates by calling them at (403)493-9990.
What should I do if the bike needs to be repaired during the rental period?
If you have any issues with a rental during your ride, please do not hesitate to call us and we will help the best we can.
Can I take the bicycles on the bus to or from Banff?
The Roam bus has a rack on the front and can fit up to 3 bikes at a time. The bus picks up at Banff Highschool and drops off just down the street from the shop: Bikes on Buses
